About TickSniper

Exp-TickSniper: Advanced Tick Scalper for Optimized Currency Trading

Exp-TickSniper is a fast and efficient tick scalper designed to automatically adjust trading settings for each currency pair individually.

With nearly 15 years of experience in Expert Advisor (EA) programming, TickSniper is built for precision in short-term trading.

Key Features of Exp-TickSniper:

  • Smart Trailing Stops: The EA uses intelligent trailing stops that adjust based on real-time data, such as the currency pair’s quotes, specifications, and spread. This ensures that each trade is customized to the specific characteristics of the currency pair.
  • Averaging Strategy for Loss Prevention: To reduce potential losses from signal errors, Exp-TickSniper uses an averaging strategy. If a trade reaches a certain loss level, the averaging function is activated to help reduce risks.
  • Stop Loss Protection: In extreme situations, Exp-TickSniper uses stop-loss orders to limit losses. If the system can’t make a profit, it closes positions one by one with stop-loss orders.
  • Automated Profit Targets: The EA automatically sets profitable Stop Loss and Take Profit levels, as well as distances for averaging and trailing stops. This optimization is based on data from the currency pair’s specifications and current prices.

Exp-TickSniper is perfect for traders looking for an automated tick scalper that adapts to each currency pair. With smart risk management, advanced averaging, and precise Stop Loss and Take Profit settings, Exp-TickSniper optimizes short-term trading performance in MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.

The EA gathers data from the currency pair’s specifications, current prices, and other factors as part of its strategy.

    Have it run on a 4500 Euro real ecn Account and it works great. I only Use the 3 forex pairs like in the subscription. I make over a hundred Euro a day. Thanks a lot.

    The best expert advisor I know. It Works very well. One question: is it possible in the next update to change the parameter "HoursSleepEaAfterStopLoss" from hours to minutes? Thank you and congratulations!

    Since beginning of 2022, this strategy has died completely. EA looks interesting, I bought it for collection and do not plan to use it in real. Test on real tick quotes in MT5 to see result of its work)) Five stars to author for long development and support of this product.

    Hello, I have never seen better EA. One question, how do I activate the "Averaging_LotsMartin"? I have done everything but I can not activate it.
    Vladislav Andruschenko
    Reply from developer Vladislav
    Thank you. You can adjust this parameter. Averaging_LotsMartin increase in the LOT for each averaging deal. It allows you to increase the LOT of averaging deals. Increase the lot for the grid positions — the coefficient of increase of each averaging position. For example: Starting lot of the main position = 0.1 LotsMartin = 2, then The next lot of the opened averaging position will be 0.2, 0.4, 0.8 and so on. Attention: The middle line will be calculated using the formula using lots. It allows you to bring the break-even level (middle line) closer to the current price. But martingale can be dangerous to your account. Please, calculate this parameter so that your deposit will withstand such a load

  • Correcttrader FONT Well, this masterpiece is doing well on live (normal spread) trading, altought the floating losses (if trading 8 pairs, you certainly have to cope with these) is my consurn, i need to figured out how to handle that after day’s end, weekly end, just to get rid of those swaps, or start fresh on mondays. Any suggestion here? Also you need to give this EA some time to understand, and use it fully with all kind of pairs, even indexes. Then you will see the beauty of it.

Description

The Expert Advisor (EA) TickSniper has been developed based on nearly 15 years of experience in EA programming.

Using the current data of the selected currency pair, including its quotes, specifications, and spread, the Expert Advisor makes short-term trades with a minimal Take Profit using a smart Trailing Stop function.

The averaging strategy in our EA is employed to prevent algorithmic loss in signal determination.

If an open position incurs a specific loss, the position averaging function is activated.

In extreme cases, positions opened by the TickSniper advisor have a Stop Loss.

If the automatic trading system cannot close a series of positions at minimal profit, positions are alternately closed at the Stop Loss.

The system automatically determines profitable levels for Stop Loss, Take Profit, averaging position distances, trailing stop distance, etc.

Our advisor receives data on these parameters from the currency pair’s specifications, current prices, and other factors that are part of our strategy.

Key Benefits of Exp-TickSniper

With Exp-TickSniper, you get a hands-free trading experience that requires no complex setup or monitoring.

Short Story

In addition to the widely used technical analysis among traders, some advisors’ methods are based on the principle of tick movements.

The trading tactics of such experts allow capturing small, sharp price movements and opening positions in the direction of the signal.

To facilitate the identification of such situations, the Expert Advisor Exp-TickSniper, working on classic currency pairs, was developed to enter the market.

The advisor’s operation is based on the following principle: by analyzing tick data and prices, the expert compares the obtained data and then opens a position in the direction of rapid movement. Stop-loss and take-profit levels are also set automatically.

I recommend starting trading with a thousand dollars; the advisor is programmed to trade with lots of 0.01 (not less).

In general, the Exp-TickSniper advisor can be classified as a scalper.

The expected profit is up to 20-25 pips.

In addition to usual trades, this expert analyzes changes in the initial deposit.

A drawdown exceeding 75 spreads signals the averaging of the position.

With the help of the Exp-Averager advisor, deals in the drawdown are averaged, resulting in zero levels (BreakEven).

This pertains to testing the Exp-TickSniper expert in the strategy tester.

Analyzing historical results does not work because the strategy uses ticks that appear in the strategy tester and are not accurate.

There are two remaining options: conduct independent testing or rely on our data.

It is worth noting one more important fact regarding the choice of a broker for this expert. Ensure that the flow of quotes is uninterrupted and that there is the possibility of trading with small profits. If there is any doubt about at least one of these factors, it is better to choose another Broker.

Principle of Operation of Exp-TickSniper

Exp-TickSniper operates directly on the currency pair where it is installed, functioning independently of the chart’s timeframe. The EA focuses on real-time tick data, calculating price movements for the currency pair in fractions of a second.

How Exp-TickSniper Works:

  1. Tick-Based Trading: The EA counts the ticks received by the terminal and analyzes the price movement of the current currency pair. It does not rely on traditional timeframes, making it flexible and responsive to market activity.
  2. Detecting Sharp Price Movements: Exp-TickSniper employs a sophisticated strategy that seeks out sharp movements in quotes. It identifies rapid price changes that may indicate a potential trading opportunity.
  3. MA Filter for Trend Confirmation: A moving average (MA) acts as a filter, helping the EA align trades with the overall trend of the currency pair. If the sharp price movement supports the general trend, it generates a signal to open a position.
  4. Analyzing Momentum: The advisor assesses the direction and continuity of price movement by analyzing the incoming tick data. This enables the EA to determine the strength and sustainability of price changes.
  5. Data Grouping and Position Opening: When a series of rapid movements occur, the EA groups the data and uses it to make decisions. Based on this data analysis, Exp-TickSniper opens a position that follows the identified trend.

The Exp-TickSniper combines real-time tick analysis with moving average filtering, making it a powerful tool for capturing sharp price movements in MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. By focusing on immediate movement of currency pairs and aligning trades with the overall trend, this EA offers a highly responsive and data-driven trading approach.

Trade Features

Exp-TickSniper is designed to manage trades with precision and efficiency, using advanced strategies to optimize profit potential while minimizing risk.

Key Trade Features:

  1. Stop Loss Protection:
    • Each position is opened with a Stop Loss set at a distance of 250 average spreads. This ensures that every trade has a predefined risk limit to protect your account from significant losses.
  2. Averaging Function for Risk Management:
    • If a position moves against the trade, the EA activates an averaging function at a distance of 75 average spreads. This strategy helps to reduce potential losses by averaging down positions and improving the overall break-even point.
  3. Trailing Stop for Profit Optimization:
    • Once a series of positions (or a single position) moves into profit, the EA employs a Trailing Stop at a distance of 5 spreads. This dynamic stop adjusts to lock in profits as the price moves in your favor.
  4. Break-Even Point Setting:
    • When the position or series of positions reaches a certain profit level, the EA sets a break-even point. If the price reverses and hits this level, the position will be closed with zero loss, ensuring the trade is protected from turning negative.
  5. Spread Calculation:
    • The EA calculates the spread by averaging the last 15 seconds of tick data, ensuring it adjusts to current market conditions and remains responsive to changes in spread volatility.
  6. High Win Rate:
    • Over 90% of positions are closed with a profit, reflecting the EA’s precision in detecting profitable opportunities.
  7. Loss Management:
    • Less than 10% of positions close with a Stop Loss. However, in adverse market conditions, losses can exceed profits, indicating that risk management is crucial during such periods.

Recommendations

  1. Before purchasing the Expert Advisor TickSniper, please download the demo version and install it on a demo or real account for the USDJPY currency pair (for free). Test the system on your broker’s server.
  2. This advisor only works with certain brokers! It depends on the speed of quotes in the terminal. You can download the demo version.
  3. Commissions can reduce all profits.
  4. The zero spread is prohibited for the system (you can use floating spreads).
  5. The Expert Advisor is tested on floating spreads. It may not work correctly on fixed spreads!
  6. The Expert Advisor does not work in the strategy tester for many reasons. More quotation history is needed.
  7. In the tester, the spread is fixed. Therefore, the results of the strategy tester and the real account may differ.
  8. The Expert Advisor works to reduce and increase the spread and the rate of quote receipt. Therefore, each broker achieves different results.
  9. The Expert Advisor uses Averaging and Stop Loss. Averaging is triggered every 75 spreads from the previous position. Stop Loss is set at a distance of 250 spreads.
  10. The Expert Advisor uses the scalper strategy: positions can be closed in the range of 1 – 8888888888 pips.
  11. Calculate your deposit based on tests on your broker’s server in such a way that it can withstand the average annual movement of the currency pair.
  12. Use reinvestment, take profits on time, and manage your money.
  13. Forex is risky. Before trading Forex, I advise you to learn the basics of Forex Trading.
  14. TickSniper EA is fully automatic.
  15. A small deposit is a guarantee of a big drawdown.
  16. Making a profit today does not guarantee profit in a month — Forex is unpredictable.
  17. Making a loss today, you can make a profit tomorrow.
  18. If you install an Expert Advisor on a VPS, it is better to install one Expert Advisor per VPS without connecting and enabling other terminals. Since the advisor works on ticks, there should be only one terminal with one advisor on the VPS.
  19. Excellent execution of opening positions within up to 100 ms.

Principle of Operation of Signals for Opening Deals

TickSniper Expert Advisor: Speed-Based Trading on Rapid Price Movements

The TickSniper Expert Advisor (EA) operates based on the speed of price movements for the selected currency pair. This means the EA reacts to sudden, rapid shifts in quotes, making it ideal for volatile market moments like important news releases. The EA calculates the speed of these movements before opening a position, ensuring that only the most favorable conditions trigger a trade.

Key Parameters for Signal Calculation:

  1. Timeopen:
    • Definition: The time (in milliseconds) used to measure the speed of the currency pair’s movement.
    • Impact: A higher Timeopen value provides more accurate signals, while a lower value enforces stricter scalping rules.
    • Example: If Timeopen = 1500 ms, the EA monitors the currency pair for 1.5 seconds to determine the speed of movement.
  2. DistanceTickSpread:
    • Definition: The number of points (in spreads) that the currency must move within the Timeopen period to trigger a trade.
    • Example: With DistanceTickSpread = 2, the EA requires the price to move at least 2 spreads from the starting point within the Timeopen period (e.g., 1.5 seconds).
  3. PeriodFilterMA (Moving Average Filter):
    • Definition: The period for the Moving Average (MA) on the M1 chart, used to filter trades in line with the trend.
    • Impact: If the MA shows a BUY signal, the EA only opens BUY trades, ensuring trades align with the overall market trend.

How It Works:

For instance, with Timeopen = 1500 ms and DistanceTickSpread = 2, the EA calculates whether the currency pair moves at least 2 spreads within 1.5 seconds. The direction of the Moving Average is also considered—if the MA shows a BUY signal, the EA will only open BUY positions.

These two parameters—Timeopen and DistanceTickSpread—control the EA’s sensitivity to market movements:

  • Higher Timeopen: Reduces the number of trades but focuses on longer-term price movements within the specified DistanceTickSpread.
  • Higher DistanceTickSpread: Filters out smaller price changes, detecting only significant movements, resulting in fewer but more precise trades.

Unique Signal Algorithm

The signal calculation algorithm for TickSniper is proprietary and cannot be disclosed. To fine-tune the quantity and quality of trades, adjust Timeopen and DistanceTickSpread according to your trading preferences.

Signal Setting Options

The TickSniper Expert Advisor offers multiple trading modes, each tailored to different trading styles and market conditions. These modes are defined by two key parameters: Timeopen (the time interval for calculating price movement) and DistanceTickSpread (the number of spreads a currency must move within the Timeopen period).

TickSniper: Signal Setting Options

Available Trading Modes:

  1. EASY ModeFew Trades, High Accuracy
    • Timeopen: 3000 ms
    • DistanceTickSpread: 7 spreads
    • This mode prioritizes accuracy over trade volume, ensuring fewer but highly reliable trades. Ideal for traders seeking conservative and precise trades.
  2. MEDIUM ModeThe Golden Circle
    • Timeopen: 1500 ms
    • DistanceTickSpread: 2 spreads
    • The perfect balance between trade frequency and accuracy. MEDIUM mode offers a mix of reliable signals and a moderate number of trades.
  3. HARD ModeAggressive Trading, More Deals
    • Timeopen: 1500 ms
    • DistanceTickSpread: 1 spread
    • Designed for more aggressive traders, this mode generates more frequent trades but with slightly reduced accuracy. Perfect for those seeking more market activity.
  4. SlowQuotesBroker ModeFor Brokers with Slower Quote Streams
    • Timeopen: 3000 ms
    • DistanceTickSpread: 2 spreads
    • This mode is optimized for brokers with slower quote feeds, ensuring stable performance even in less volatile environments.
  5. CRAZY ModeMega Mode for Aggressive, Fast Trading
    • Timeopen: 3000 ms
    • DistanceTickSpread: 1 spread
    • The most aggressive trading mode, CRAZY is for traders who prefer fast-paced action. It generates frequent trades with a high level of market activity.

These trading modes allow you to customize TickSniper based on your trading style, whether you prefer accuracy with fewer trades or fast, aggressive trading. Adjust the Timeopen and DistanceTickSpread to suit your preferences and market conditions on MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5.

External Variables and Settings

NameDescription

Common Settings

TypeFillingThe type of fill for positions and orders.
It is used for the MT5 terminal.
In AUTO mode, the Expert Advisor attempts to determine the fill type automatically.
However, in some situations, you need to set the fill type manually.

If you encounter an error when opening a position: 10030 TRADE_RETCODE_INVALID_FILL, An unsupported type of execution indicates an unsupported fill type for the remaining order.
Set the fill type according to your broker’s rules.

Example:
FillOrKill
This execution policy means that the order can be executed only in the specified amount. If the market currently does not have a sufficient quantity of the financial instrument, the order will not be executed. The required volume can consist of several offers available at the moment in the market.

ImmediateOrCancel
This means executing the order for the maximum available volume in the market within the limits specified in the order. If full execution is not possible, the order will be executed for the accessible volume, and the remaining order volume will be canceled.

Return
This mode is used for market, limit, and stop-limit orders and only in the “Market Execution” and “Instant Execution” modes. In case of partial execution, a market or limit order with a residual volume is not canceled but continues to operate.
For stop-limit orders, the corresponding limit order with the execution type Return will be created upon activation.
RoundingDigitsThe EA can round all prices when opening and modifying orders and positions (deals).
Options:
No rounding,
Rounding to 1 decimal place,
Rounding to 2 decimal places.

The function is created for Gold and Silver, as well as for brokers where a specified tick accuracy is required.

Example:
Deal open price = 1.12345
Rounding to 1 decimal place = 1.12340
Rounding to 2 decimal places = 1.12300
typeorderType of positions (Deals) for opening by signals.
BUY and SELL;
— Only BUY;
— Only SELL.
Trade_by_BUYSELL_SeparateAllows trading in two directions simultaneously.
If TRUE, when the EA opens a BUY position and receives a signal to open a SELL position, the advisor will open a SELL and maintain two different directions.
ClosePosifChange Closes positions (Deals) with the common reverse signal.
If TRUE, when the EA has an open BUY position and receives a signal to open a SELL position, the EA will close the BUY position and open a SELL position.
OnlyModify Function to monitor open positions (deals) and work with Smart Trailing Stop and Averaging without opening new deals on signals.

You can click the MODIFY ONLY button on EAPADPRO. These functions are identical.

General Signal Options

LevelTrade (Only for Good Santa)Signal Strength for TRADE by GOOD SANTA

– MEDIUM – The golden circle: TimeOpen = 1500, DistanceTickSpread = 2
– HARD – Aggressive method. More deals – less accuracy: TimeOpen = 1500, DistanceTickSpread = 1
– SlowQuotesBroker – Trading mode for brokers with a slow stream of quotes: TimeOpen = 3000, DistanceTickSpread = 2
– CRAZY – Mega Mode. Aggressive trading with fast deals: TimeOpen = 3000, DistanceTickSpread = 1
Timeope Signal strength in milliseconds (Auto Mode).
DistanceTickSpread Signal strength in spreads (Auto Mode).
DistanceTickMANUAL Signal strength in points (Manual Mode)
If a value is specified, then DistanceTickSpread should be set to 0.
TimeToCheckAverageSpread The number of seconds to calculate the average spread.

– TimeToCheckAverageSpread: The duration (milliseconds, e.g., 20,000 = 20 seconds) for determining the average spread.
– AutoCheckLowSpread: Automatically determines if the spread is too low (less than 1 point/pip) and sets all system settings to the lowest possible spread.
This protects the system from a reducing spread by the broker.

StoplossTickSpread = 100 means that the StopLoss of each position will be equal to 100 * Average spread, calculated by the Expert Advisor over TimeToCheckAverageSpread milliseconds.

If the spread is 20 points (pips), then the StopLoss at the time of opening will be 2000 points (pips).
With a floating spread, this value always changes.

The average and current spread, as well as the level of the AutoCheckLowSpread, will be displayed in our panel in the Strategy Info section.
AutoCheckLowSpreadAutomatically determines if the spread is too low.
Automatically calculates the spread if it is too low (less than 1 point) and sets all system settings to the lowest possible spread.

This protects the system from a reducing spread by the broker.
ManualMinimumAverageSpread Allows manual setting of the minimum average spread so that all advisor parameters are based on this average spread.

For example, if AutoCheckLowSpread = false and ManualMinimumAverageSpread = 10:
If the average spread on a currency pair is lower than 10 pips, the Expert Advisor uses the average spread (AverageSpread) as 10 pips, and all system parameters are based on an average spread of 10 pips.
If the average spread calculated by the advisor is more than 10 pips, the Expert Advisor uses the actual AverageSpread.
ReverseSignalFlips (Reverses) the overall strategy signal received from the Main strategy + filter!

If the common signal is to open a BUY, then the Expert Advisor opens a SELL position!
If the common signal is to open a SELL, then the Expert Advisor opens a BUY position!

If the current spread at the time of receiving the signal is greater than the specified value, the advisor signal is ignored until the spread is less than the specified value.
MinSpreadToNotTradeMinimum spread at which the advisor can open a position.

Warning: This filter is only used to open positions by signal, averaging, and additional opening.

All other functions operate normally.
Include_Commission_SwapIncludes the author’s calculation of the commission and swap when the following functions are enabled: BreakEven (stop loss at the breakeven point), Trailing Stop, Averaging.

The author’s calculation of the commission is based on the formula for calculating the value of 1 point/pip from open positions for this symbol and magic number. A negative swap and commission are included in the calculation.
The function returns the cost of a negative swap and commission in points/pips and accounts for this when working with the BreakEven functions and trailing stop.

Attention: If you have a floating spread with your broker, the commission settlement is executed and set at the moment the BreakEven functions and trailing stop operate, but the spread may increase, resulting in additional loss points/pips.

This is not a calculation error! Also, consider that when a swap occurs, the advisor recalculates the BreakEven line and establishes new stops if the server allows it (subject to your broker’s minimum stop level). If the server does not allow setting a breakeven and returns a minimum stop level error, the EA will not be able to modify the position, potentially resulting in additional loss points/pips.

To avoid incurring losses when using a commission and receiving a negative swap, we recommend increasing the distance for BreakEven or trailing stop. The LevelWLoss can be calculated independently, considering the commission.

For example, if the commission for opening and closing a position = $2 (EURUSD) per 1 lot.
To cover the commission loss, set LevelWLoss = 2 (points/pips) + 1 (control point) = 3 points/pips.
This way, the advisor will set the break-even (StopLoss at the breakeven point) at +3 points/pips, covering the commission loss.
Commission_Coefficient (Only for MT5)Commission_Coefficient – Parameter coefficient for fixed commission.
If your broker has a fixed commission per 1 lot, the Expert Advisor calculates it automatically for each trade.
For some brokers, the commission is calculated both when opening and closing a trade.
CommissionPer1LotinPercent (Only for MT5)Parameter for calculating the commission per one deal (position) if the commission is not fixed (floating).

CommissionPer1LotinPercent = The cost of the commission for 1 deal (position) per 1 trading lot (volume) in percentage.

This parameter can be found in the contract specification under the Commissions section if the commission is not fixed and is specified as a percentage!

Helps the Expert Advisor to calculate the commission when closing a deal (position) if the commission is not known in advance from the contract specification in Auto mode (Some brokers).
PercentDDMAXDisables new signals (opening new positions) when the drawdown exceeds a certain percentage for the entire account (Filter by Magic only).

The drawdown limitation does not affect already opened deals and support (Averaging, trailing stop, closing) of already opened deals!
This means that if the drawdown is exceeded, new signals are canceled.
The Expert Advisor will continue to support and open new averaging deals.

Suppose the current drawdown for all currency pairs and the magic number (MAGIC) of our Expert Advisor exceeds the specified drawdown percentage (PercentDDMAX). In that case, the Expert Advisor will not open new positions based on new signals.
All positions (Deals) for all currency pairs and the magic number (Magic) are considered.

If Magic = -1, then the total drawdown for the entire account for all positions and all magic numbers is considered.
NoNewPosition_below_MarginLevel Restricts the opening of new deals if the margin level in the account falls below the specified percentage.

If the margin level (Current Margin as a percentage) is lower than the set value (NoNewPosition_below_MarginLevel), the Expert Advisor does not open new signals.
SecondsSleepEaAfterClose The number of seconds of inactivity and ignoring new advisor signals after the last position is closed.

This prevents frequent movements of the currency pair if the previous position or series of positions were closed less than 6 minutes (SecondsSleepEaAfterClose = 300) ago.
HoursSleepEaAfterStopLoss The number of hours of inactivity and ignoring new signals from the Expert Advisor if the last position closes with a Stop Loss.
PeriodFilterMaThe moving average period for the M1 chart used for monitoring and filtering trades based on the trend.
If the MA indicates BUY, trades are opened only on BUY.
If the MA indicates SELL, trades are opened only on SELL.
MethodFilterMaThe Moving Average (MA) method (Standard settings).
TFFilterMAThe timeframe for MA (Standard settings).
CloseByMaCloses positions or series of positions when the direction of the signal from the Moving Average indicator changes.

False = 0 – The Expert Advisor does not close positions when the MA direction changes;
OnlySignal = 1 – When the MA direction changes, the advisor closes only the main position. Averaging positions have not yet been opened.
SignalAverage = 2 – When the MA direction changes, the EA closes all positions, including averaging positions.

Averaging Filter Options

AveragingbyFilterMAThe EA can open an averaging deal (position) only if the MA filter indicates the same direction as the averaging deal direction.
(If the EA needs to open an averaging SELL deal and the MA is above the price for the BUY, the averaging order will not be opened).
StartAveragingFilterMAafterNdeals Enables the function of filtering averaging deals after the specified number.

For example:
StartAveragingFilterMAafterNdeals = 0
Each averaging deal will be filtered using MA;

StartAveragingFilterMAafterNdeals = 2
The first 2 averaging deals will not be filtered using MA, but the third averaging deal will be filtered using MA.
MinTimebeforenextAverage Minimum time in minutes before opening the next averaging deal.

The minimum number of minutes before opening the next averaging deal (position)!
Useful for large bars/candles when multiple averaging deals could be opened.
This limits the opening of the next deal to after the specified minutes.
MaxOrdersMaximum number of positions for this currency pair in one direction (separately for BUY and SELL).
0 – unlimited;

Auto Settings

TakeProfitTickSpreadTake Profit in spreads for each deal (position).
The spread is calculated based on the average spread received over TimeToCheckAverageSpread milliseconds by the Expert Advisor.
StoplossTickSpreadStop Loss in spreads for each deal (position).
The spread is calculated based on the average spread received over TimeToCheckAverageSpread milliseconds by the Expert Advisor.
DistanceAverageSpreadDistance for averaging in spreads.

The spread is calculated based on the average spread obtained over TimeToCheckAverageSpread milliseconds by the Expert Advisor.

To disable the Averaging system, set DistanceAverageSpread = 0;
DistanceAverageSpread_Coef Coefficient for the distance to the next step for averaging.

– Allows you to set a coefficient to increase or decrease the spreads for averaging deals from the initial DistanceAverageSpread value.

For example:
DistanceAverageSpread_Koef = 2, DistanceAverageSpread = 50:
The first averaging deal will be at a distance of 50 current spreads.
The second averaging deal will be at a distance of 100 current spreads!
DistanceAverage Spread_Different Distance steps for averaging separated by commas.
– Allows specifying the averaging values in spreads separated by commas.
For example:
“10,20,50,50,20,10” means that the first averaging deal will be at a distance of 10 current spreads, the second at 20 spreads, the third at 50, and so on.
If three averaging deals are opened with a “10,20,30” distance, after the third averaging deal, all subsequent deals open with a distance of 30.
TrailingStopaTickSpreadDistance of Trailing Stop for the deal / total deals in spreads.

The spread is calculated based on the average spread received over TimeToCheckAverageSpread milliseconds by the Expert Advisor.

Note: If averaging positions are opened:
If you open 2 or more positions, the Expert Advisor activates the trailing stop function from the middle line and not from the open position price.
The average price is displayed on the chart.Expert Advisor trailing stop function illustration

Manual Set

TakeProfitMANUAL
AverageDistanceMANUAL
TrailingStopaMANUAL
StopLossMANUAL
Parameters for manual settings in points.

For example,
If the parameter TakeProfitTickSpread = 0, the Expert Advisor uses the values in points from the TakeProfitMANUAL parameter.

For example:
If you want to set fixed values, such as Stop Loss, you can set StopLossMANUAL = 1000 points and StoplossTickSpread = 0.

If you want to set fixed values, such as Take Profit, you can set TakeProfitMANUAL = 500 points and TakeProfitTickSpread = 0.

If you want to set a fixed averaging distance, you can set DistanceMANUAL = 100 points and DistanceAverageSpread = 0.
LevelProfitMANUAL Enables the break-even function.

This function modifies the stop loss to LevelWLoss points when the position reaches the LevelProfit profit target.

Example:
LevelWLoss = 50, LevelProfit = 200
As soon as the position accumulates 200 points of profit, the StopLoss of the position will be modified to the opening price of the position (+ spread) + 50 points.

Example:
LevelWLoss = 0, LevelProfit = 100
As soon as the position accumulates 100 points of profit, the StopLoss of the position will be modified to the opening price of the position (+ spread).

Attention: If the averaging function is enabled (true):
When you open 2 or more positions, the advisor activates the break-even function from the middle line and not from the opening price of the positions.
LevelWLossMANUAL The profit level (LevelWLoss) in points at which the Stop Loss is set when this function is enabled.

1 = 1 point of profit;
0 = Automatic minimum profit mode.
If set to 0, the number of profit points for the break-even (StopLoss at the breakeven point) equals the spread of the current currency pair.
TrailingStepThe step of StopLoss when the trailing stop function is enabled.

AutoLot Settings

Averaging_LotsMartinCoefficient: Increases the lot (Volume) for grid positions.
The coefficient for increasing the lot size of each subsequent averaging position.
For example:
Starting Lot (Volume) of the main position = 0.1
LotsMartin = 2, then
The next lot (Volume) of the opened averaging position will be 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, and so on.

If Martin = 1, the martingale does not activate (Fixed lots (Volumes)).
If Martin = 0, the Expert Advisor cannot open the next position.
If Martin = 2, the first lot = 0.1, the second lot = 0.2, and so on: 0.4 – 0.8 – 1.6 – 3.2 – 6.4…
If Martin = 0.5, the first lot = 1, the second lot = 0.5, and so on: 0.25 – 0.125.

Attention: The middle line is calculated using a formula based on lot sizes.
This allows bringing the break-even level (middle line) closer to the current price.

However, martingale can be dangerous for your account.
Please calculate this parameter so that your deposit can withstand such load.
LotsA fixed lot (Volume) is used to open a position (Deal).
DynamicLotA dynamic lot, AutoLot, for an open position.
You can enable dynamic lot calculation based on a percentage of free margin and other factors.
Calculation of our AutoLot.
DynamicLotStopLossRisk from SL – Calculates the automatic lot, considering Stop Loss.
The maximum loss as a percentage of the balance when closing a deal at StopLoss.
When calculating the lot, our Expert Advisor accounts for the Stop Loss (at the moment of opening the deal).
If the deal closes at the Stop Loss, the loss of this deal equals the specified percentage of the balance (at the time of opening the deal).
Important! If your Stop Loss was changed after the deal was opened, the lot of the deal cannot be changed. Upon closing the deal, the loss may be more or less.
Important! If you use a Trailing Stop, the deal’s StopLoss changes with each tick, but the lot cannot be changed.
Formula and code: https://expforex.com/my-autolot-secrets-dynamiclot-autolot/#eb-table-content-5
TypeAutolotAutoLot calculation type:
BALANCE – AutoLot is calculated based on the current balance. Lot calculation is based on account balance! If there are open positions on the account, the next lot will be approximately the same because the balance does not decrease due to the number of current open positions!
FREEMARGIN – The standard lot calculation is based on the current free margin, meaning the more open positions on the account, the smaller the lot calculated for the next position. This is because opening a position decreases the free margin, thus each new open position has a smaller lot when calculating AutoLot.
LotBalancePcntPercentage for AutoLot.
I recommend a maximum setting of 1% for a deposit of $10,000 or more.
RiskRateThe rate of your currency against the dollar (or your account currency).

By default, RiskRate = 0, which means that the Expert Advisor will try to find the correct rate in the Market Watch.
For AutoLot to work well with all currency pairs, you need to enable “Show all currency pairs” in the Market Watch.
Screenshot showing 'Show all currency pairs' in Market Watch
MaxLotThe maximum lot that an Expert Advisor can open when calculating an AutoLot and martingale for the first main position.

Time Set For Trade

OpenHour
OpenMinute
CloseHour
CloseMinute
The Expert Advisor checks the trading time based on the following parameters:

OpenHour: OpenMinute – the start of trading;
CloseHour: CloseMinute – the end of trading for the day.

For example, OpenHour = 5 and OpenMinute = 0, CloseHour = 18 and CloseMinute = 59
The EA will trade every day from 5:00 to 18:59.
CloseAllTradesbyOutofTimeCloses all open trades and pending orders during non-trading hours if CloseAllTradesByOutOfTime = true.

The Expert Advisor will trade during the specified trading hours, and when trading time is over, the advisor will close all open positions and orders.

– Not Use = Do not use the function;
– Only Positions = Close only positions (BUY and SELL);
ClosingPositionAtASpecificTimeCloses all positions at a specific day and time.

Variable Format: Day of the Week / Closing Hour: Minute of Closing

For example, ClosingPositionAtASpecificTime = 5/20:00
This means that the Expert Advisor will close all open positions (deals) on Friday at 20:00!

Trailing Options

TrailingStopUSEThe standard trailing stop function.

Note: If averaging or additional positions are enabled (true):
If you open 2 or more positions, the Expert Advisor activates the trailing stop function from the middle line and not from the open position price.
The average price is displayed on the chart.Expert Advisor trailing stop function illustration
SaveTPafterTrailingStopWhen enabled, the Take Profit of modified positions will not be altered after Trailing Stop is activated.

For example:
SaveTPafterTrailingStop = false:
When running a Trailing Stop, the TakeProfit of the modified position will be deleted (set to 0);

SaveTPafterTrailingStop = true:
When the Trailing Stop is active, the TakeProfit of the modified position will be preserved.
Set_StopLoss_to_the_next_profitable_position_levelWhen enabled (true), this option monitors open positions and modifies the Stop Loss to the next profitable level.

If the EA opens a BUY position but the price moves against it, 3 averaging positions are opened at lower levels.

If the price then moves in the BUY direction but does not yet cross the middle line to activate the Smart Trailing Stop.

If the price crosses the level of the second lower position’s opening, the EA modifies the stop-loss of the lowest position to the next higher level.

If the price passes the level of the third lower position, the stop-loss of the first position will be modified to the opening level of the second position.

The Stop Loss of the second position = the opening price of this position.

And so on.

If the price moves down, two positions will work with profit at the break-even level.
Afterward, if the Expert Advisor opens another averaging position, we will already have closed 2 profitable trades.
MovingInWLUSEEnables the break-even function.

This function modifies the stop loss to LevelWLoss points when the position reaches the LevelProfit profit target.

Example:
LevelWLoss = 50, LevelProfit = 200
As soon as the position accumulates 200 points of profit, the StopLoss of the position will be modified to the opening price of the position (+ spread) + 50 points.

Example:
LevelWLoss = 0, LevelProfit = 100
As soon as the position accumulates 100 points of profit, the StopLoss of the position will be modified to the opening price of the position (+ spread).

Attention: If the averaging or additional function is enabled (true):
When you open 2 or more positions, the advisor activates the break-even function from the middle line and not from the opening price of the positions.

Limiting Losses and Profits Options

Limiting losses and profits Limits losses and profits for a specific period (Limit loss and profit for 1 day/week/month).

LimitFor – Limit type: day/week/month;
LimitForLosses – Limit on loss;
LimitForProfits – Limit on profit;
LimitType – Limit type by Dollars, Points, Deposit Interest;
ClosebyLIMITING – Closes the advisor’s deals when the limit is exceeded;
UseCurrentProfit – Takes into account the current profit/loss when calculating the limit;

This function can disable the Expert Advisor if it achieves a certain profit/loss in the account currency for the day/month/week.
The Expert Advisor will resume work the next day, week, or month.

For example, LimitFor = DAY, LimitForProfits = 10 dollars;
You can also select LimitType as the limit type for calculations (in dollars, points, percentage of account balance).

If you need to close and delete all deals for this Expert Advisor when limits are exceeded, set ClosebyLIMITING = true.

UseCurrentProfit enables/disables the calculation of the current floating profit/loss for this Expert Advisor.

Trade Sets Other

marketFor opened positions with stop-loss / take-profit on an account with MARKET execution.
The EA can open the position (Deal), and after successful opening, the StopLoss and TakeProfit levels are modified in this position (deal).
SoundsUse trade sounds (After Open and Close).
ModifyStoplossEverySecondsThe EA can modify the Stop Loss after averaging spread every 10 or 200 seconds.
0 – function is turned off;
SlippageThe maximum allowable price deviation when opening and closing positions (in Points).

Example:
Slippage = 1
Maximum price deviation when opening a position = Opening price ± 1 point (pip).
Slippage = 100
Maximum price deviation when opening a position = Opening price ± 100 points (pips).
For example, the price of opening a position when sending a deal to the server = 1.12345
If during the time of sending and opening the position (deal), the price changes within 100 points (Requote), then the position (deal) will open with the price within 1.12245 – 1.12445.
CommentToOrderComment for deals.
“TS” + CommentToOrder;
“Aver” + CommentToOrder.
MagicThe magic number for positions opened by the advisor EA.
If Magic = -1, by default, the advisor monitors all positions with any magic number for the current currency pair.

Why does the advisor not work in the strategy tester?

Important Note on Strategy Testing for TickSniper

Please be aware that the MetaTrader Strategy Tester works with historical data, which often includes incomplete quotations. In most cases, the spread in the strategy tester is fixed, with the exception of MT4. This means that the tester does not account for sharp market movements or price spikes, which are critical to the performance of the TickSniper Expert Advisor.

Why an EA Works on Demo but Trades Differently on a Real Account

Why the Strategy Tester May Not Reflect Real Market Conditions:

  • Fixed Spread: The strategy tester uses a fixed spread, unlike real market conditions where spreads fluctuate, especially during high volatility periods.
  • No Sharp Price Movements: Since the strategy tester doesn’t simulate the rapid price movements that occur during actual market trading, it doesn’t fully reflect the conditions under which TickSniper operates effectively.
  • Tick-Based Strategy: TickSniper relies on sharp movements in quotes and spread dynamics, which cannot be accurately tested in the strategy tester.

Recommendation:

To truly evaluate the performance of TickSniper, we strongly encourage you to download the demo version and test it on a live demo account. This will provide you with a much more accurate representation of how the Expert Advisor performs in real market conditions.

Can I test the EA in the strategy tester?

If you do not want to believe my experience, then you can test the advisor on the MT5 terminal, set a random delay, and set the type: Each tick is based on Real ticks!

But you must be aware and understand that the strategy tester provides inaccurate trading results for the EA for the reasons described above!

The Expert Advisor works at the speed of quotes.

This means that the Expert Advisor catches swift movements of a currency pair, usually on the news, and earns profit on such sharp movements!

Strategy Tester cannot simulate real trading.

Therefore, the Strategy Tester can give opposite trading results.

Even if you have been trading on this account for a specific time, the strategy tester can show other results!

Tick scalper is not recommended for use with the Strategy Tester!

If I had created a perfect tester, I would not trade on a live account!

I trade with EA and test my EAs only on real trading accounts!

I do not trust the strategy tester!

On the strategy tester, you can check the correct operation of the algorithm, but you cannot hope for a 100% coincidence of the trading results between the strategy tester and the real trading account!

Can an Expert Advisor be optimized in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester?

If you want to optimize the EA, despite all my answers above, then I can give you a couple of tips and data to be optimized:

Why are the results of the strategy tester different from the result on your real account?

My Real Account: Proven Performance Over 3 Years

My real trading account has been active for over 3 years, and during this time, I’ve tested every version of my Expert Advisor (EA) — from the initial release to the latest updates. With each new version, I also update the EA on my real account to ensure it continues to improve and adapt to the changing market.

Why an EA Works on Demo but Trades Differently on a Real Account

Continuous Improvement for Better Profitability

Every update to the Expert Advisor is aimed at increasing profitability and enhancing its performance. However, it’s important to remember that the results will never be exactly the same — this is the nature of the Forex market.

Understanding the Risks

The Forex market is inherently unpredictable, and there is always a 100% risk of losing all your funds. My Expert Advisor is designed to help navigate these risks, but no trading system can guarantee consistent outcomes. The results will always vary due to the dynamic nature of the market.

By testing and refining my EA in real market conditions, I strive to deliver a reliable tool, but I always advise traders to be aware of the inherent risks involved in Forex trading.

Scalping systems based on the rate of quotes!

Why did the EA open BUY, although I see that on the screen you need to open SELL?

Our Expert Advisor: Powered by a Proven Trading Strategy

The Expert Advisor operates using a sophisticated internal algorithm. The trading strategy behind this advisor has been tested and refined over several years. Through in-depth market research, we developed this strategy to ensure it performs effectively in real market conditions.

Why an EA Works on Demo but Trades Differently on a Real Account

Strategy-Driven Trading

We aren’t just selling an advisor — we’re offering you a tool that follows a strategy built on years of market experience. By purchasing this Expert Advisor, you agree to trade according to this proven strategy, trusting in the years of research and testing that went into its development.

If you have your trading strategy or you think that our advisor has opened an erroneous position, consult the Programming Advisors section, and your strategy advisor will assist you.

Why did the advisor open a false position that went to a loss and closed with a minus?

A Realistic Look at Forex Trading

Your question is, at the very least, a bit unusual because trading in the Forex market is inherently risky. Currency trading is unpredictable, and even the best trading systems cannot guarantee profit.

The Expert Advisor doesn’t know where the market will move in the next second. It doesn’t have a crystal ball to predict whether a trade will end in profit or loss. Like any trading tool, it operates based on signals. When a signal appears, the EA opens a position.

How the Advisor Manages Trades:

  • If a position becomes unprofitable, the EA activates a system of averaging positions and manages a series of positions using our smart trailing stop.
  • If the position continues to lose value, the EA will eventually close it with a Stop Loss to limit further losses.

Losses Are Part of Trading

Closing a trade at a loss is sometimes unavoidable in Forex trading. If the advisor experiences a loss, it simply means the signal was incorrect. But that’s the nature of Forex trading — there are no guarantees, and losses are a part of the process.

There are no miracles in Forex trading, and it’s crucial to understand the inherent risks. The advisor follows a strategy, but no strategy is foolproof.

Why are two identical advisors working on two identical terminals in different ways?

Your question is logical, but because the trading strategy of our Expert Advisor is quite complex, and the main logic revolves around capturing sharp market movements and changes in spread, our advisor cannot run simultaneously on the same terminal.

There are several reasons for this: even on the same computer with two different terminals, the speed of quotes can vary. The timing of quote reception is also different between terminals.

To better understand the reason behind this, I’ve written an article that explains the technical aspects and logic behind this behavior in detail: Trading Scalping Systems for Forex: Mistakes and Causes

These are general recommendations:

  • Close any symbols you don’t use in Market Watch.
  • Close unnecessary charts.
  • Install TF M1.
  • Close all unnecessary programs.

That’s all you can do on the server.
The speed of receiving quotes depends on the bandwidth from your server to your broker’s server.
Even on two identical terminals on the same server, quotes may decrease with different delays.

Why does the advisor get different results from different companies?

Each company has its own trading terms — varying spread, swap, commission, stop levels, margin requirements, and contract specifications. With different trading servers come different quotes and different rates of quotations.

As a result, the advisor may produce different outcomes across brokers. However, one thing remains consistent: the entire algorithm of the advisor is the same. The code is identical, and the signals are uniform. Therefore, the advisor operates on all terminals using the same logic.

If you encounter a Stop Loss with one broker but a profit with another, it simply means that the trading conditions were different between the two. This is completely normal in Forex trading.

The advisor’s performance is influenced by factors such as spread and the rate of quotations specific to each broker.

I installed an advisor yesterday, but he did not open any positions in a day.

If you installed the advisor yesterday and it hasn’t opened any positions, the first step is to check why this is happening.

Make sure to look at the square in the EAPADPRO panel. It should be green. If the square is red, it means the advisor is not allowed to trade.

This could be due to one of the following reasons:

Restrictions on your account: Some accounts may have restrictions that prevent the advisor from opening positions. Check with your broker to ensure that your account allows automated trading.

Trading permission not granted: You may not have enabled the advisor to trade. Make sure that you’ve allowed automated trading in both the platform settings and the advisor’s settings.

I also recommend checking the Expert Advisor’s log in the EXPERTS tab. The EA may have recorded an error that prevented it from opening a position.

Common issues to look for include:

Invalid Stop Orders (StopLoss/TakeProfit): Make sure that the Stop Loss and Take Profit values are set within your broker’s acceptable limits.

Incorrect Fill Type: Ensure you’ve selected the right order execution type for your broker.

Order Expiration Issues: Verify that the expiration time for pending orders is correctly set.

Wrong Lot Size or Order Amount: Double-check that the lot size or order amount matches the broker’s requirements.

Methods for Eliminating Errors in the EA

The Expert Advisor may also ignore new signals if the drawdown on your account exceeds 10%. When this happens, the advisor pauses opening new positions to avoid overloading your account.

This is a protective measure designed to manage risk, ensuring your account isn’t burdened with excessive positions during high drawdown periods.

Keep in mind that the advisor will not start trading immediately or open 1,000 positions a day! It operates based on an algorithm and a specific trading strategy. The EA only opens positions when it detects a valid signal.

If you’re looking for a large number of trades, you can manually open positions every second, but that’s not how this algorithm is intended to work!

I see a signal, there was a sharp movement. Why didn’t the Expert Advisor (EA) open?

If you notice a sharp movement and expect the Expert Advisor (EA) to open a position, it’s important to remember that a trading system follows a strict set of rules. In the case of the Expert Advisor (EA), these rules are programmed into its code, and each action is executed in a specific order.

For the Expert Advisor (EA) to open a position, it must receive a signal. A signal only appears when a series of factors align to confirm a trade in a specific direction. If even one rule isn’t met, the EA won’t open a position.

Please be patient and trust the Expert Advisor (EA) and its signals. The EA is designed to follow its strategy consistently, ensuring that it only trades when all conditions are met.

Q: I am from the USA, is it possible to trade on a FIFO system? How can I limit the opening of new positions?

A: FIFO (First In, First Out) is a rule required by certain brokers, particularly those regulated in the U.S., which dictates that traders must close their oldest positions first before closing any newer ones in the same currency pair.

To meet your broker’s FIFO requirements, you can disable hedging and averaging in your trading strategy. While I don’t recommend turning off these features, as they play a key role in many trading strategies, including ours, you have the option to do so to ensure compliance with FIFO rules.

Trade_by_BUYSELL_Separate = false
DistanceAverageSpread = 0

By adjusting these parameters, you’ll be able to follow the FIFO requirements without compromising your broker’s regulations.

Does the Expert Advisor (EA) work on an ECN account? Will the EA work on accounts with a commission?

Our Expert Advisor (EA) is designed to automatically configure its parameters for any currency pair, broker, or account type.

This means that the Expert Advisor (EA) will function on any account without the need for manual adjustments.

However, accounts that use a commission-based structure typically have a smaller spread. Under these conditions, the average distance and stop-loss set by the EA may be too short.

As a result, the profitability of the EA on a commission-based account may differ from that on an account without a commission.

However, the code of the EA is fully tuned and contains functions for calculating commissions and including commissions in the trailing stop and averaging functions.

I recommend Recommended Brokers ECN PRO.

What is the difference between the version for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5?

There’s no difference! The Expert Advisors (EAs) are exactly the same in both versions, with identical algorithms and functionality. The only variation is the version of the trading terminal you’re using — MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5.

Nothing! The Expert Advisors (EAs) are absolutely the same.

They have the same algorithm and functionality.

The differences only lie in the terminal version.

For brokers who do not have a MetaTrader 5 terminal, you can use the MetaTrader 4 version.

Where does the Expert Advisor (EA) trade better? On MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5? And why?

Based on our observations and extensive testing, we’ve found that the MetaTrader 5 terminal generally provides more quotes, a higher rate of quote reception, and faster order execution compared to MetaTrader 4.

As a result, the Expert Advisor (EA) on MetaTrader 5 tends to open more positions, and they are often more accurate due to the improved speed and data flow.

The Expert Advisor (EA) operates on tick history data, continuously collecting and analyzing it to form signals and parameters for opening positions. Since each trading terminal generates and processes its own tick data, there are inherent differences in the data between MT4 and MT5. This discrepancy can lead to different signals being generated on each platform, even when using the same strategy.

The divergence between MT4 and MT5 data is a well-known issue among traders. These differences stem from variations in tick data generation, aggregation methods, and the underlying technology of the two platforms. As a result, signal behavior can differ, affecting the timing and accuracy of trade entries.

I discussed this issue in a blog post over a decade ago, where I explored the complexities of scalping systems based on quote rates: Scalping Systems and Underwater Rocks.

Does the Expert Advisor (EA) work on VPS? Which VPS should I choose?

The EA should work around the clock. To do this, you can select a VPS. You can choose a VPS that is closer to your broker’s server.

The EA works on VPS from MetaQuotes!!!

Expert Advisor (EA) open positions on the VPS from MetaQuotes.

I have funded real accounts on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 and launched the EA simultaneously on my computer and VPS from MetaQuotes.

There are identical deals, but there are discrepancies caused by the fact that the VPS and the home computer receive a different set of quotes.

Since the EA monitors quotes, this behavior is normal.

What should I do if my broker has notified me about high hyperactivity on my account and warned that my account might be disabled?

We have noticed a high degree of hyperactivity on your account xxxxxxxxxxx and this can potentially overload our servers.

Answer:

Receiving a notification from your broker about high hyperactivity on your account indicates that the number of trades or server requests (such as modifications to stop-losses and take-profits) exceeds the set threshold of 2,000 operations per day. This excessive activity can lead to server overload, negatively impacting the platform’s performance for all users.

To prevent your account from being disabled and to ensure the smooth operation of your trading strategy, it is recommended to take the following steps:

  1. Check for Additional EAs or Utilities: Ensure that no other Expert Advisors or utilities are installed on your account that might automatically modify stop-losses (SL) and take-profits (TP).
  2. Limit the Trailing Step for Stop-Loss Modifications: Configure the TrailingStep parameter to a fixed value (e.g., 10) to reduce the frequency of stop-loss adjustments.
  3. Account for Floating Spreads: Floating spreads can cause fluctuations in the distance to SL and TP, resulting in additional modification requests. Consider fixing the spread or adjusting your strategy to accommodate its variability.
  4. Use the ModifyStoplossEverySeconds Function: Set up this function so that the EA modifies the SL only after a specified period (e.g., every 10 or 200 seconds). This will help decrease the number of modification requests. Set the value to 0 to disable the function if necessary.

By following these recommendations, you can reduce the activity on your account, prevent server overloads, and avoid the potential disabling of your account by the broker.

Why do some positions close in a small loss?

In scalping, it’s normal for some positions to close with a small loss. This occurs due to the floating spread, which affects the placement of the stop-loss when it’s modified to the breakeven point and the subsequent trailing stop.

The EA may adjust the stop-loss to breakeven based on the current price and spread. However, if the spread is floating, the stop-loss might end up slightly in the negative.

This is a normal part of the process.

What does the leverage affect?

The decrease in leverage affects only the margin at the time of opening.

This means that the EA needs more margin or balance to open averaging.

But this does not affect profitability and other parameters.

You do not need to change anything.

Example 1:100

  1. To open a position on EURUSD with lot 1.00 on an account with a leverage of 1:100, you need to have $1,171 of free margin!
  2. To open a position on EURUSD with lot 0.01 on an account with a leverage of 1:100, you need to have $11.71 of free margin!
  3. If the averaging distance is 1,000 points, and the cost of the item is 0.01 lot = $0.01, then at a loss of 1,000 points, the EA will have a loss of $10 + Free Margin $11.71 = $21.71
  4. To open one averaging, another $11.71 is required.
  5. Total: If the Expert Advisor (EA) opens 3 averaging positions + the main position, you must have on the account: $30 + $20 + $10 + $11.71 * 4 = $106.84 + StopOut (20%) = $128.20

$128.20 is necessary to have on the account for the normal operation of the EA for 1 currency pair with a lot size of 0.01 and a leverage of 1:100

Example 2: 1:50

  1. To open a position on EURUSD with lot 1.00 on an account with a leverage of 1:50, you must have $2,342 of free margin!
  2. To open a position on EURUSD with lot 0.01 on an account with a leverage of 1:50, you must have $23.42 of free margin!
  3. If the averaging distance is 1,000 points, and the point value of 0.01 lot is $0.01, then with a loss of 1,000 points, the EA will have a loss of $10 + Free Margin $23.42 = $33.42.
  4. To open one averaging, another $23.42 is required.
  5. Total: If the Expert Advisor (EA) opens 3 averaging positions + the main position, you must have on the account: $30 + $20 + $10 + $23.42 * 4 = $153.68 + StopOut (20%) = $184.42.

$184.42 is necessary to have on the account for the normal operation of the EA for 1 currency pair with a lot size of 0.01 and a leverage of 1:50

  1. With less leverage, fewer additional positions may be opened.
  2. With lower leverage, the Margin Call can be activated quickly.
  3. The greater the leverage, the better the work.

The EA opens too few positions.

Want more? Try setting parameters TimeOpen = 2000 and DistanceSpread = 1, then the Expert Advisor (EA) will trade faster, but the signal quality is not guaranteed.

How stable is the Expert Advisor (EA)? How much profit can you get?

The stability of the system depends only on the current market and the implementation of standard recommendations!

Example of trading on a live account and statistics for the past year

Answering the Question About Monthly Profit and Maximum Drawdown Using an Expert Advisor (EA):

The profitability and drawdown of trading robots depend on various factors, not just the trading EA itself. Several key elements influence these outcomes:

  • Forex trading signals: The EA operates based on signals derived from quotes. The current price action dictates the trade signals and thus influences profitability.
  • Initial account balance: The starting balance plays a significant role in determining how much you can trade and the potential returns.
  • Risk management: The level of risk applied to the trading balance directly affects both profit potential and drawdown.
  • Trading lot size: The size of the lot used in trading determines the volume of trades and the corresponding profit or loss.
  • Market conditions: Global events and news can significantly impact price movement, affecting both open positions and trade outcomes.

Important Considerations:

Conversely, a larger deposit and bigger trading lot can generate higher profits, but they also come with a higher risk of larger drawdown.

The smaller the deposit, the lower the trading lot you can use.

A smaller trading lot results in smaller profits but also lower risk.

Can you add a function? I think it will trade better.

You may believe that adding a function will improve trading, but I have tested everything extensively on real accounts. I cannot simply add new functions to this Expert Advisor (EA), as each function requires thorough testing over time in live market conditions.

Adding a new feature is not just about coding; it involves significant time and effort, as well as ensuring the function fits within the overall strategy. I also cannot add a feature and then have to explain to other customers why it was included.

Every new function affects the trading algorithm, so it’s important to keep the system stable and reliable.

If you need an EA tailored to your specific requirements, it may be better to create a custom solution for your needs.

With your functions, all applicants must apply in this section: Programming Expert Advisors.

Why do different time frames yield different results in the strategy tester, if the TimeFrame does not matter?

To increase the processing speed of quotes when you set the time frame (TF) to M15 in the strategy tester, the EA may not receive data from the indicator on TF M1!

Please set the Period = M1 when testing in the strategy tester!

What is the difference between the version for MetaTrader 5: Ticksniper PRO FULL and TickSniper FULL?

The first EA was TickSniper FULL.

After 3 years of testing on live accounts, most of our users asked to create an extended version of Ticksniper PRO FULL, which we did.

This was an additional fee at the request of users of our system.

At the moment, all TickSniper FULL users have versions of Ticksniper PRO FULL.

Why is the price $30,000? I cannot remove the Expert Advisor (EA) from the database because many users use it.

The price is raised artificially so that it is not bought. And they bought the latest version of Ticksniper PRO FULL.

If you bought the TickSniper FULL version for MetaTrader 5, you could install the version from the market, which will already be TICKSNIPER PRO FULL.

The difference between GOOD SANTA – TICKSNIPER

Good Santa is the younger brother of the TICKSNIPER system as a whole.
Good Santa was created for beginners who do not like or do not know how to set up an Expert Advisor (EA).

All the settings in this Expert Advisor (EA) are set by default. The LevelTrade parameter allows you to select the trade type for the Expert Advisor (EA).
The detailed parameters in the Good Santa EA were hidden so that beginners would not be confused by them.

Everything is configured automatically based on your broker and currency pair.
TICKSNIPER is a professional scalping system in which all settings are available for editing.

You can configure TICKSNIPER for your needs.
TICKSNIPER also has many additional functions that were not included in the Good Santa EA.

Risk Warning:

Past trading performance does not guarantee future results.

Trading foreign exchange on margin carries a high degree of risk and may not be suitable for all investors.

Be aware that using trading robots involves substantial risk, and you could lose more than your initial investment.

Please proceed with caution, assess your financial situation carefully, and consider seeking advice from a qualified professional.

Hey i want to inquire about the function "LIMIT LOSSES AND PROFIT". does the EA look at the overall account balance or just the pair where it is being used? For instnce, if i use the EA in EURUSD with a daily loss limit of $500 and i have other open pairs. will the EA close position when my account balance go below $500 from the other pairs or it will just wait until EURUSD go loses $500

Reply from ExpForex:
Hello ✅LIMIT LOSSES AND PROFIT ✅The limit function controls only the trades on the current symbol (the symbol of the chart where the EA is running). It does not monitor the entire account or other pairs. ✅Important note: by default MagicNumber = -1, so TickSniper monitors all trades on this symbol with any MagicNumber, including manual trades and trades from other EAs. This is done to properly calculate drawdown and symbol statistics. If you want to control only this EA, set a unique MagicNumber. ✅======================================= EXAMPLE If the daily loss limit is 500 USD on EURUSD, the EA stops only when EURUSD (the chart symbol) reaches this loss. Losses on other symbols do not affect this limit. With MagicNumber = -1 all EURUSD trades are counted, and with a custom MagicNumber only the EA’s own trades are counted. ✅ ======================================= SUMMARY ✅ Controls the chart symbol only, not the whole account ✅ Other pairs do not trigger the limit ✅ Magic = -1 counts all trades on the chart symbol ✅ Unique Magic counts only EA trades

Correcttrader FONT Well, this masterpiece is doing well on live (normal spread) trading, altought the floating losses (if trading 8 pairs, you certainly have to cope with these) is my consurn, i need to figured out how to handle that after day’s end, weekly end, just to get rid of those swaps, or start fresh on mondays. Any suggestion here? Also you need to give this EA some time to understand, and use it fully with all kind of pairs, even indexes. Then you will see the beauty of it.

Hello, very useful , one question please..is the leverage taken into account while testing in the strategy tester ? I have the impression it is not . Also , the times when trading is not allowed seem not to be taken into account in the strategy tester , is that so ? Also , I would like to increase the lot sizes to a maximum and I do not manage , what parameters do allwow that , have you built in a limiter ? ( Draw down are accordingly very low , what is good , but I wish to push the limit higher )

Hello. The leverage of your broker works in the strategy tester. in the mt5 strategy tester, you can even set a floating spread. This is very good. there are no restrictions on the lot in the EA, you can increase the lot lots.

Hi, I bought the EA about 2 weeks and running the trading test on the "demo account". How do set the "Stop Loss " in the item " Manual Set"? I have a deficit of over $75. I have read the manual from the website, and know the EA setting automatically to run, but I want to change the "Stop Loss" setting to fix my need. What I can set on the manual trading? Could you check my setting file for me? and how can send my file to you?
